Developer Larian seems to be working on adding the ability to change a character’s appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3. Director of publishing Michael Douse responded to a Twitter user requesting the ability to change the player character’s appearance by stating that “things are being cooked”.
Douse’s response indicates that the ability to change a player character’s appearance after the initial character creator in Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in the works. It is unknown how in-depth this creator would be; whether it would allow players to fully re-create their characters from scratch or whether it will only allow smaller changes, like hair colour or facial hair options.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on PC earlier this month and has been seeing quite a bit of success. After the initial slate of reviews for the RPG have started coming in, Baldur’s Gate 3 became one of the highest-rated games on all time on review aggregation site OpenCritic.
The RPG has been praised for its level of polish and the freedom it allows the player in tackling its scenarios. For some examples, here are 10 things Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to do that you won’t believe. For more details about the game’s launch weekend, here are some stats released by Larian.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC. A PS5 release is slated for September, while the Xbox Series X/S version is still under development.
