Pokémon Puzzle Leaguefixed an error from the Pokémon anime that occurred due to issues with the English localization of the series. Originally released for the Nintendo 64 in the year 2000, Pokémon Puzzle League is now available on Nintendo Switch as part of the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online. This means modern fans can now experience Ash Ketchum's journey through the Kanto region, as told through block puzzles.
One of the final challenges in each mainline Pokémon game (save for Pokémon Sword and Shield) is the Elite Four, who must be defeated before a trainer is allowed to challenge the Champion. For many Pokémon fans, the first Elite Four member they ever battled was Lorelei, who specialized in Ice- and Water-type Pokémon. Lorelei was the first member of the Kanto Elite Four and proved to be a tough opponent, thanks to a team that sported powerful Pokémon, like Lapras, Slowbro, and Cloyster.

The Elite Four are important opponents in most Pokémon games, yet they aren't seen as often in the Pokémon anime, due to Ash usually losing before he has a chance to face them. Ash eventually met every member of the Elite Four, but in different contexts, such as facing Agatha when she became a temporary Gym Leader. Fans of the English dub of the Pokémon anime might not have realized that Lorelei was even in the series at all.
Lorelei appeared in an episode called «The Mandarin Island Miss Match», which was part of the Orange Island filler arc. The English dub of the episode is strange for a few reasons, as there are no references to her being part of the Elite Four, and several fanservice shots in Pokémon had to be censored.
