The 1997 game, created by Rare, was based on the 1995 James Bond film, Goldeneye. GoldenEye 007 was a more grounded first-person shooter and was unique from what players had come to expect with other FPS games, such as Sci-Fi fantasy shooters like Doom. It offered an immersive single-player experience and a four-person split-screen multiplayer mode. Usually, video games based on movies do not have the greatest reception with fans of the franchise, however, it has won many awards and GoldenEye 007 is considered one of the greatest video games of all time. Now new information has been released that points to streaming giant Cinedigm as the American entertainment company to release the documentary.
