A talented Pokemon fan recently made a Paldean regional variant for Pidgey, turning the bird creature into an Electric/Flying-type. The Pokemoncommunity loves to create fan art depicting the franchise’s most iconic monsters, and Pidgey is certainly one of them.
While other Pokemon such as Pikachuand Charizard may be the most popular creatures belonging to the first generation of Pokemon games, Pidgey is one of the most common picks for starting trainers. Pidgey looks like a regular pigeon, and it can be caught essentially everywhere in the early parts of Pokemon Red and Blue, becoming quite a memorable and recognizable monster because of this.
Now, a Pokemon fan called MDSM_art created a new version of Pidgey. Named Paldean Pidgey, this new form is a Flying/Electric-type variant, and it puts an interesting spin on an otherwise fairly common creature. The main physical difference of this Pidgey is the colors of its feathers, as the original version uses mostly brown and cream colors. The Paldean Pidgey featured in the fan art, on the other hand, has dark blue and grey feathers, as well as yellow details resembling thunderbolts. According to MDSM_art, the fan artist may even create evolutions for the creature soon, making more amazing fan art for the community.
This is not the only fan art depicting an alternative version of Pidgey and its evolutions, though. Last year, a fan made an impressive Legendary version of Pidgeot. The animation created by the artist looked very good, showing a 30-second clip of the mighty bird flying above the clouds. This version differentiated itself from the normal one due to details such as sparkling wings and some metal parts.
Fan-made regional variants of Pokemon can be interesting ways to reimagine classic creatures, and another fan just shared quite an amusing artwork, a regional Oddish variant with unique evolutions. In this alternative version, Oddish became infected with insects that slowly took control of its body, eventually
