Persona 3 Reload is the fanciest and flashiest version of the few iterations of the game already out there, but depending on who you ask, it may not be the definitive way to experience the game. That's because Kotone - the female main character from Persona 3 Portable also lovingly referred to by fans as FeMC - isn't included in Reload, and probably won't be added as DLC in the future.
It's a major sore point for Persona fans, especially as Kotone has many memorable moments in Persona 3 Portable, and is considered a fan favorite character. Her not being included in a remake of Persona 3 might as well be considered blasphemy on Atlus' part by some fans, and a few modders have already set about adding the FeMC experience to Persona 3 Reload.
One of these modders is REALMadMax1960 on Twitter, who has been gradually sharing their progress of bringing Kotone to Persona 3 Reload ever since launch. Over the past week or so, they've shown off footage of Kotone battling her way through Tartarus, gaming at an arcade machine, and various other activites, all the while constantly tweaking and changing the player character model to get her looking as accurate as possible.
At the time of writing, their latest modding update recently showed off Kotone using an Evoker in battle, and they've even managed to get Kotone's outline to appear in the menus. It all looks pretty neat, and it's coming together impressively fast considering the game's only been out a little over two weeks.
REALMadMax1960 isn't even the only modder working on bringing Kotone to Persona 3 Reload either. When asked whether they had plans to make the game's UI pink to match the UI used in Persona 3 Portable, another fan of the project shared that there's another modder currently working on it in the game's modding Discord channel.
