Peacemaker just went live in Mortal Kombat 1 and, as most fans had been guessing, his unique gear piece lets players change (and even remove) his iconic helmet.
Things have mostly been quiet on the Mortal Kombat 1 front ever since the launch of Quan Chi, but that's hopefully about to change thanks to the latest update. Not only has it added crossplay (I refuse to call it krossplay) for certain online game modes, but it's also added the next guest character as DLC - John Cena's Peacemaker.
One of the biggest questions about Peacemaker that fans have had ever since he was revealed to be in the game was regarding his unique gear piece. Each fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 has one piece of equipment that has different unlockable variants that can be swapped between, such as Scorpion's mask, Kenshi's sword, and Baraka's arm blades.
For some fighters, the choice is rather obvious about what gear piece they'll have, but it's a bit more interesting for the guest characters. Leading up to release everyone had different guesses for what Omni-Man's gear piece would be (which ended up being three things in one), while Peacemaker's has always been a little bit more on the nose - it's got to be his helmet, right?
Well after months of speculation and theories from fans, our questions have finally been answered - Peacemaker's gear is, in fact, his helmet. As showcased by Twitter user thethiny and first discovered by MKWarehouse, Peacemaker's helmet can be swapped out for quite a few different variations, including one that looks a lot like Vigilante's mask.
As showcased by this tweet from TQT1995 , you can even take off Peacemaker's helmet altogether and get a closer look at John Cena's gloriously chiselled face.
