The next big patch for Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile 2 goes live today and features numerous quality-of-life changes, endgame improvements, and more. You can also expect four new endgame Tower maps and a revamped Lost Towers map.
Above all is adding six attempts for the Arbiter of Ash boss. Only the person who uses the keys necessary to unlock the fight can respawn, which means you can’t swap characters, and leaving takes an attempt. As you venture into tougher difficulties, there are fewer respawns. Other Pinnacle bosses will receive this change in the future, so stay tuned.
Other changes include doubling the chests and monsters with 50 percent additional Magic and Rare monsters. The chances of maps containing Essences, Strongboxes, and Shrines are also 50 percent higher. There are also checkpoints, which, combined with fast travel between them, allow for quicker map navigation. Unfortunately, Grinding Gear Games won’t change the death penalty in maps anytime soon.
