Palworld’s endgame options are set to expand with the introduction of the game’s first raid. Following the game’s meteoric rise earlier this year, the team published a roadmap laying out its plans for the game. The main takeaway was that while new content was coming, Pocketpair was prioritizing fixing the game’s major pain points before pivoting to adding new things to the game.
There aren’t a whole lot of details on the game’s first raid at this time, though we do have a short video and the raid boss’s name: Bellanoir. No release date has been made available.
In other Palworld news, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe revealed that the studio is in talks to bring Palworld to other platforms besides Xbox Game Pass and Steam. Mizobe also said the studio is open to partnerships or even an acquisition, though Mizobe expressed his intention for Pocketpair to remain a small studio making smaller games.
The Pocketpair CEO also believes that “Games are most fun when playing with friends” and that “A game without a multiplayer mode just doesn’t feel right in the era we live in today.” This is hot on the heels of the games' massive player drop that happened just a few weeks after launch. Hopefully the upcoming content helps Palworld see a resurgence.
