Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland Event Brings Holiday Cheer and Yeti Hunting, Starts Today
‘Tis the season to be an Overwatch 2 player, as the latest Winter Wonderland event will soon be underway! This latest event brings not only fun new arcade games but also loot boxes filled to the brim with items sure to bring the holiday spirit to the players.
The event will begin today and features a unique 5v1 PVP brawl where players will hunt down a meat-hungry Yeti. One player, of course, will embody the Yeti and attempt to overtake an entire team of five Mei’s in order to claim the victory.
The Yeti will need to collect pieces of meat scattered around the map, while the opposition attempts to freeze or trap them where they stand. Be wary, though, as once the Yeti eats all of the meat available, they go into a murderous frenzy that will leave the team of Mei’s running for the snow-covered hills.
For even more ho-ho-holiday fun, players can chill out in the new Freeze-Flash Elimination match, which is basically one giant, intense game of Freeze-Tag. In this 5v5 showdown mode, players don’t lose health or die to the opposing team; they’re completely frozen in place once struck down.
Once the player has been frozen, it is left up to the rest of the team to sneakily and quickly thaw out their fellow frosty friends without getting blasted themselves. The first team to completely solidify the opposing team for three total rounds takes home the gold.
