It has been some time since fans last received info about the PvE content in Overwatch 2. While the mode seems to be ambitious, featuring skill trees, numerous enemy types, and hundreds of Hero missions, gamers have been left to speculate about it due to a lack of footage in recent months. With theOverwatch 2PvP beta right around the corner, the focus will likely stay on multiplayer for the foreseeable future.
Whenever the PvE campaign of Overwatch 2 resurfaces, it would be great to see some deep dives into the aforementioned mechanics. However, while Blizzard should focus on highlighting things like skill trees and the new Omnics players will be fighting, it would be great to see some new features discussed as well. One unconfirmed feature that has serious potential is a hub area, and hopefully Overwatch 2 delivers a memorable place for gamers to rest between missions.

Currently, there is nothing to suggest that there will be a hub area in Overwatch 2, but it is hard to deny that it would perfectly suit the game. Between eachOverwatch 2 mission, players could return to the new Overwatch headquarters, selecting the next objective from a war table like in Marvel’s Avengers. For those that want to take a break from the action, this hub could provide a lot of entertainment.
It only takes one look at Overwatch’s map easter eggs to imagine how enjoyable a hub area made by Blizzard would be, as it could feature several small activities for players to use as a distraction.
