Hello everyone! I'm Collin from Wowhead's sister site Fanbyte, and am here to talk about the newest changes revealed in the Overwatch 2 PvP beta. I know, I can't believe it's finally here either, but there have been a lot of changes made to Blizzard's hero shooter. From the introduction to the latest playable character Sojourn to the downsizing of how many players on each time to complete hero reworks, there’s a solid amount of content to try out during this beta.
So we here at Wowhead’s sister site, Fanbyte, have all the information you need about the changes coming to each hero. The archetype that got the biggest reworks, every single tank has been either completely redesigned or received some kind of change. From former damage dealer Doomfist being moved into this class to Winston getting a new ranged attack, there’s something for every tank player to try in Overwatch 2.
Full List of Overwatch 2 Tank Class Changes However, sometimes you just want to kill everyone on the enemy team with a flashy Ultimate ability. Making up the biggest percentage of heroes in Overwatch 2, there were some really interesting alterations to existing DPS characters. Some personal favorites include Bastion now being able to move while in turret form, Sombra staying invisible when hacking someone, and Cassidy ditching the flashbang for a magnetic grenade.
We also cannot forget about Sojourn, who is bringing a deadly railgun and slide ability that makes her tricky to pin down. Even though this beta saw major shake-ups for multiple characters, a lot of Overwatch 2’s support heroes only got some minor changes.
