Several DCshows have had their ups and downs over the years: low ratings, loss of interest from the public, and more. Although some were able to bounce back, others simply perished. Now, the DC television universe is facing another big challenge that could once again lead to the cancelation of two of its shows on the CW, including the yet-to-air Gotham Knights.
The news comes a month ahead of the broadcast upfronts week, where networks will reveal their upcoming fall schedules and announce which shows will be renewed or canceled. Last week, an update surfaced on some DC shows, which are part of the ever-growing Arrowverse, that are currently in «the bubble» and whose fate remains uncertain, including Gotham Knights.

According to Deadline, the CW will cancel at least half of the four DC projects airing on the network. Legends of Tomorrow is one of the shows that may not be renewed, given the fact that it's getting old and has undergone multiple cast changeovers throughout its run. Another series that might suffer the same destiny is Gotham Knights, which recently received a pilot order. However, as the latter takes place in a similar universe as Batwoman, at least one of them will be picked up for another season. Meanwhile, Naomi, which is a relatively new show, could be given a second season before saying goodbye.
The decision to cancel some of its series comes amid rumors that the CW is being put on sale by WarnerMedia and Paramount. Nevertheless, the network is known for giving a proper closure to its shows, as seen with Stephen Amell's Arrow and Melissa Benoist's Supergirl. Still, the uncertainty surrounding the CW's ownership could spell bad news for Legends of Tomorrow
