Old School RuneScape is getting custom servers, client updates, including an official HD mode, the return of Leagues, and the second part of the Varlamore trilogy of updates (and a peek at the third and final one!).
The reveals came at the Summer Summit, and there are a ton of new things coming to OSRS. Custom servers, under Project Zanaris, introduce another layer to the classic Old School RuneScape experience. Varlamore: The Rising Darkness is the next expansion update in the Varlamore trilogy previously referred to as “part two”. Leagues will return in late November with Leagues V: Raging Echoes, with some updated rules and updates to improve the experience and rewards.
A series of previously-announced additions, including HD mode, and a mobile UI overhaul, also got updates. The mobile overhaul will be here on October 9th, while another announcement on HD mode will come in a few months.
