Ex-Humble Games employees have set up a brand new indie publisher called Good Games Group.
The venture is to be led by Alan Patmore (pictured) and Mark Nash, who previously led Humble Games. Good Games Group is also going to be working with some of the developers that Humble had previously teamed up with.
This comes just three months after Humble Games let all 36 members of staff go by parent company Ziff Davis, with consulting outfit The Powell Group brought in to manage any projects that were still in motion.
Good Games Group will be working on the aforementioned projects.
“We’re excited for the future of Humble Games,” Ziff Davis boss Steve Horowitz said.
“As we work on a great lineup of games coming to market in 2024 and beyond, as well as seek new opportunities, our strategic partnership with The Powell Group has helped weather a difficult time in the games industry. Their team will ensure that Humble Games has a solid foundation for success and the brand continues to foster creativity within indie games.”
Good Games Group boss Patmore added: "Good Games Group’s mission is to bring exceptional indie games to the global gaming community. Partnering with Ziff Davis allows us to continue working with the amazing indie developers we collaborated with at Humble Games, while also allowing us to chart a new course for the future."
