V Rising is getting its first big update since the 1.0 launch and thelaunch on PlayStation 5. We can look forward to new features expanding the core experience, and based on feedback from the community, a brand new region, expanded, less costly PvP options, and more.
The Stunlock team has been busy working on improvements since launch and polishing things up. In a new devblog announcing the update, they talk about their goals and how they're “not ready to put down the brush just yet” Like a painter always adding a little bit here and adjusting something.
A brand new region is on the way. Vardoran is growing and the new region will have its own faction and (as yet unrevealed) theme. You'll have room to explore something completely new and even to build a castle in the new region if you choose to. The biome will have an invading faction of enemies that is all new, with different combat mechanics and its own lore. New V Bloods are coming, and they will be guarding some powerful technology in new boss battles that can get you a new shard and even a legendary item recipe.
Several updates are happening because of feedback they received to add variety to gameplay. One of these changes is unique appearances for endgame weapons to make them feel more like epic artifacts. Another is the addition of something they're calling the Fusion Forge. Some people really hate randomized drops. Yet, others are excited by working to chase a goal drop and then it finally dropping. The Fusion Forge will let you take parts from each of a couple of different items to build something that works for you. Items with jewels that have the mods you want can be fused together.
There are also several PVP updates, each focusing on new options. They've gotten requests for PvP with fewer consequences. Enter duels, where you can fight other vampires and you won't risk your gear. It doesn't mean it's risk-free, since outside participants can
