With all of the changes in Albion Online’s Horizons patch, now that the update has beenin player hands for about a week, the team is making some adjustments to the new dynamic encampments, the new Crystal Creatures, and some additional combat balance changes and fixes.
The changes to encampments (and applicable to Mists Camps) are based on feedback, and many of the tweaks are intended to be more rewarding.
Mobs in the encampments don't have a Fame penalty anymore. The results of this will be a significant increase in the Fame you get from the mobs you defeat. There are some guardrails to prevent farming, so you won't be able to gain Fame from mobs after you complete the objective or if you are outside the direct encampment. The amount you'll need to complete the objective itself has also been increased. Might rewards have also been similarly increased.
Common Caches are now Common Tome Caches, with Tome of Insight as the primary reward. That tome has since been removed from the Uncommon, Legendary, and Rate caches. Solo Caches Also get a significant change, with their loot values generally getting substantial increases. This should make the risk of solo PVE in encampments more appealing.
The new Crystal Creatures — cobra and beetle, have had a few nerfs to things like attack damage and duration.
It's not all balance changes. A number of fixes are here for the HUD editor bugs that were sometimes reverting changes that you made. With the addition of the HUD editor, this is a priority since customization has finally arrived. The team also added a new way to get back to your mount. Use the mount ability in the half-mounted radius is now available as a toggle.
There’s more in the full patch notes, including balance changes for classes and all of the fixes on PC and mobile.
