Nintendo Direct Reveals First New Mario & Luigi Game In 9 Years
The first new game in nine years has been revealed during the most recent Nintendo Direct event. The gaming spin-off series has not seen a release of in 2015. There were a couple of remakes following that game, but this is the last original title. After that, however, the studio in charge of the series, AlphaDream, declared bankruptcy and closed, thus ending the saga. The return of the series seemed unlikely until the recent announcement from Nintendo, which already gave the next title a release date.
Nintendo has revealed , a new entry in the series. The information was shared during the most recent Direct event, which was broadcast on the official Nintendo channel on YouTube. The trailer shows the iconic siblings getting into shenanigans together until a portal appears, taking them to another world. Their new goal is to make it back home.
In addition to the plot, a lot of the gameplay elements can be seen in the reveal trailer, including its platforming sequences, mini-games, and turn-based combat, all of which should play an important part in the duo's journey to return home.
Aside from the reveal of the gameplay aspects, the trailer also revealed that will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 7.
