Capcom has released a new Resident Evil 4 update across all platforms today, adding support for today's "Separate Ways" DLC, and more.
As said, the new update adds support for the new story paid expansion featuring fan-favorite Ada Wong and she plays through the events of the game from her own perspective. In addition, this new update includes various bug fixes, although new details about these 'fixes' have been shared. The update also adds new stages and characters for the game 'The Mercenaries' free mode. "Balancing adjustments have been made to scoring, item drops, and time bonus rates for existing characters", the official patch notes read.
Back in March of this year, dataminers found additional details about the 'Separate Ways' DLC as well as The Mercenaries mode in the game files. This content was clearly missing from the game upon launch. Last week, during Sony's State of Play event, Capcom officially announced the arrival of the DLC featuring Ada Wong.
