The next Palworld update is slated to be released this week, according to the game's community manager. Palworld is easily the biggest surprise hit of the year so far, garnering tens of millions of players just a month after its release. While still relatively new and in early access, fans are looking forward to any new content they can get their hands on.
Palworld released an update for Steam and Xbox most recently on February 7. That patch mostly concentrated on various fixes and countermeasures against cheating. That said, cheating is still an issue that has plagued Palworld. Initially, meeting player demand was enough to keep Palworld developer Pocket Pair busy, but responding to cheaters has been the team's latest headache.
According to Pocket Pair community manager Bucky_cm on Discord, Palworld's «next update is still scheduled for the end of the month.» In other words, Palworld should be releasing an update at some point before Friday, March 1. Judging by a recent social media post, Palworld looks to combat cheating in this next update, as some players have been unable to connect to servers due to cheating-related complications despite not having cheated. Bucky insists the cheating issue isn't as widespread as some might think. However, the community manager did state that the team would want to address the problems as soon as possible.
Outside of fixes to bugs and addressing the cheating issues, it is still unknown what else will be tweaked in the upcoming update. Palworld unveiled its new content roadmap last month, which looks to add new Pals, islands, bosses, and crossplay among other features. Which, if any, of these features are included in the upcoming update remains to be seen. It is certainly possible this upcoming update could simply focus on bug fixes, cheating countermeasures, and stability patches. Not to mention, it's possible certain updates could come specifically to the Xbox version of the game to bring it up to par with the Steam version.
