We're currently in a bit of a golden age of Sonic the Hedgehog at the moment, with well-received titles such as Frontiers and the excitement surrounding the upcoming release of Sonic x Shadow: Generations. That's mainly thanks to Sega diving into the blue blur's previous adventures and updating them for modern consoles, and the publisher is showing no signs of stopping any time soon.

Unfortunately, none of these sources managed to pin down a potential release date for the Sonic Heroes remake, but we can safely assume it won't release this year. Sonic x Shadow Generations is the next remaster/remake that Sega is cooking at the moment, and we don't even have a release date for that just yet, with only a release window of Autumn
