Getting to play new games as soon as they release without a purchase is one of the biggest draws of Xbox Game Pass, which opens up a large library of games for a subscription fee. The service is available on both Xbox systems and PC, and it often makes it possible to play games on either platform.

is following an early access model, and for the time being, that early access version can only be found on PC. The game should presumably become available through Xbox Game Pass on console whenever it's officially ported, but the wait for that to happen could still take a while, meaning that only a fraction of Xbox Game Pass users can take advantage of the exciting April launch of.
Having to wait for a later release might not be a bad thing, as there's always a chance that the early access version of will launch with serious bugs and a generally compromised experience. Even if it does come out of the gate running, it should be even better in a year's time, especially considering how much community feedback could contribute to a game that needs to balance multiple complex pillars of gameplay.
