Patch 10.1 has introduced a whole new set of Infusions for Crafted Gear. Half of these Infusions are used on Rare Quality items, while the other half are used on Epic Quality items. While the recipes have been available since the start of Patch 10.1, some of the items required to craft them are not available until Season 2 starts.
New Enchanted CrestsIn Patch 10.1, there have been 4 new Infusions of Power introduced that can be crafted by Enchanters. These Infusions can be applied to different crafted items to increase their item level. In this news post, we will be focusing on the Enchanted Crests that can be used to upgrade Epic Quality items: Enchanted Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest and Enchanted Aspect's Shadowflame Crest.Enchanted Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest is the mid-level Optional Reagent for Epic Quality crafted items. A standard piece of Season 2 crafted gear has an item level between 411-424. Once this Infusion is applied, the item can reach as high as 437. This is equivalent to regular drops from Heroic Raid Bosses in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible.Enchanted Aspect's Shadowflame Crest is the BiS Optional Reagent for all Epic Quality crafted items. This will increase an item's item level from 411-424 to 434-447. This is equivalent to some drops from Mythic Raid Bosses in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible.
