BioWare has revealed that the title of the next Dragon Age game is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, cementing the idea that Solas will be the villain in this new story. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be taking the story to the Tevinter Imperium, during a time when the region is being invaded by the Qunari.
The fourth entry in the Dragon Age series was announced during The Game Awards 2018, with a trailer that seemed to be setting up Solas as a villain of the game. There have been a number of behind-the-scenes rumors regarding Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, especially in regards to development shake-ups caused by the failure of titles like Anthem and Mass Effect: Andromeda. These rumors included the game being transformed into a live-service title, though this no longer appears to be the case, as the game has shifted to a single-player experience.

The official Dragon Age Twitter account has officially announced that the title of the next Dragon Age game is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which was leaked not long before the reveal. The official BioWare Blog has some more information about the game. The title refers to Solas, who was a major figure in Dragon Age: Inquisition, as well as a lot of the spin-off media that has been released since. Despite Solas' prominent role in the story, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will still be accessible to new players. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf definitely won't be released in 2022, but fans should expect more news soon.
