The time is drawing near for Resident Evil to rampage its way onto Netflix, like a T-virus zombie looking for someone to maul. And thanks to Netflix's Geeked Week, we have a brand-new look at the series. In a surprise to nobody at all, it's filled with gore, zombies, drama, and plenty of Umbrella Corporation shenanigans. You can take a look at the clip below.
Netflix's Resident Evil live-action series is taking an interesting approach to the franchise, based on the long-running series of video games. The show is actually set in two distinct time periods. You will see what's happening in 2022, before the downfall of the world thanks to the T-virus, as well as a zombie-filled post-apocalyptic 2036. For those who follow the games, the 2022 storyline will more or less fall in line with Resident Evil Village.

The series stars Ella Balinska, Lance Reddick, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti, and Turlough Convery. And in case you're wondering, it has no connection to the recent film, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
The first season of Resident Evil will consist of eight episodes when it debuts July 14 on Netflix. Make sure to keep up to date with the rest of our Geeked Week content.
