Where To Find (& Photograph) The Monksnail in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
One of the quests in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is to find and photograph the Monksnail. The Monksnail is an elusive Endemic Life which looks eery, but is really just a giant sea snail. It doesn't like the light, so it can only be found in the dark. Players will first interact with the Monksnail after accepting a request called "Giant in the Frost Islands?" from Flur the Sailor in Monster Hunter Rise's Elgado Market.
After completing the "Tetranadon Blockade" quest, players can find Flur the Sailor in the Elgado Market in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Flur will tell players that he's seen the Monksnail, but nobody will believe him. Therefore, he wants players to take a picture of the Monksnail. Flur will also tell players that he saw the Monksnail in the Frost Islands, which is the only place it spawns.

To prepare for this Monksnail quest, players need to have the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC installed, opened up the Elgado Outpost, have Master Rank unlocked, and completed the prerequisite quests to open up Flur's request. Once all of these requirements are met, players should go on a Monster Hunter Rise Master Rank Frost Islands Expedition, but at night, as the Monksnail will not appear in the daytime.
Taking photographs in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a mechanic that allows players to take pictures of flora and fauna throughout the various locations. The camera is in the action menu. Once players bring up the camera, they can see the capture field in a box in the middle of the screen, and the camera controls appear in the bottom right. Anything outside the capture field will not be in the picture, so make sure the Monksnail
