Frenzy is an ailment in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak that affects both monsters and Hunters, significantly reducing their defenses. As a result, the entity inflicted with the debuff will receive more damage from incoming attacks. Furthermore, Frenzy negates the natural HP regeneration of Hunters, meaning that their health will no longer heal on its own. The two primary monsters that can inflict Hunters with Frenzy are Gore Magala in Sunbreak and Shagaru Magala. Shagaru Magala is the Elden Dragon that Gore Magala becomes once it has matured and molted.
Both of these winged beasts are incredibly powerful and deadly in combat. As one would expect of an Elden Dragon and its juvenile form, Gore Magala, and Shagaru Magala are formidable opponents in battle due to their speed and high damage output. Hence, when Frenzy is added into the picture, the fights against these two monsters can become exponentially more challenging, especially if Hunters do not understand how to deal with the Frenzy status ailment.

Similar to the Bloodblight of Malzeno in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Frenzy cannot be cured by normal means. Typically, Hunters will sip specific Potions or munch on a Nulberry to remove the adverse effects of an ailment in MHR: Sunbreak. On the other hand, there is no instant remedy for Frenzy, but it can be temporarily nullified.
Accordingly, to «cure» Frenzy in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Hunters must deal damage to Gore Magala or Shagaru Magala until a certain threshold is reached, after which the ailment will temporarily dispel.
