You encounter Pyre Rakna-Kadaki pretty far into Master Rank, so it isn't a monster to take lightly. Not only does it have Blast element attacks, it can control its Pyrantula offspring more skillfully than the nominate species in High Rank. Here's how to take Pyre Rakna-Kadaki down.
Pyre Rakna-Kadaki's weakest point is its head, which can be hard to reach since it holds its claws in front of its face. An easier weak point to reach is its legs when they're covered in thread. When the thread falls off, the monster's abdomen will swell up and become vulnerable. Bludgeoning damage is slightly more effective than slashing damage. Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is also easier to stun than many other monsters, so blunt weapons are ideal.
For elements, it's weak to Ice and especially Water damage. Other elements are completely ineffective. Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is slow to become exhausted and doesn't take much damage from being poisoned.
Because of its Stun weakness, bludgeoning weapons are best for Pyre Rakna-Kadaki. The main bludgeon weapons are Hammer and Hunting Horn, but Sword and Shield can also stun regularly with shield bashes. Earlier in Master Rank 4 you unlocked Mizutsune weapons.
