After a handful of teasers came out last month, a new full-length trailer has given fans more details on what to expect from the upcoming Netflix series.
The latest trailer comes during Netflix’s Geeked Week event and shows off more of what to expect as Ella Balinska’s Jade makes her way through zombie-infested cities and labs while dealing with a variety of different terrifying creatures.
Check out the new trailer below:
“Set in the year 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures,” reads the synopsis. “In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”
The live-action series hails from executive producer Andrew Dabb, who is serving as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner. It will reportedly be set between two timelines featuring the same protagonist. It stars star Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, the villainous head of Umbrella Corporation.
Additional cast includes Ella Balinska (), Adeline Rudolph (), Tamara Smart (), Siena Agudong (), and Paola Nuñez () along with Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery.
The eight-episode series is also written and executive produced by Mary Leah Sutton, with Constantin Film’s Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben set as executive producers. Constantin Film, the studio behind the blockbuster film franchise, is the project’s studio with CEO Martin Moszkowicz also producing.
