In a month, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters, and to mark the occasion, Marvel Studios just released the latest trailer that is bound to leave fans asking for more. So far, fans had seen Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange conversing with what seems like the Evil Strange from What If…?, but this latest trailer just made things a little more interesting, with the latter showcasing a new power in the form of a third eye.
While most of the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer features scenes that fans have already seen, some new footage is the perfect ingredient to increase hype. Apart from Evil Strange suddenly manifesting a third eye, the trailer also confirms that WandaVision actors Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne will be returning as Wanda's twin sons Billy and Tommy. Is it a potential family reunion, or a recipe for disaster? Only time will tell.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Runtime May Be Over Two Hours
The trailer begins with an immediate connection between Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. While the two have not spent a lot of time together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the trailer confirms that their current scenarios aren’t very different. They both seem to have recurring dreams, or “nightmares” as Wanda puts it, of what could be another universe. While Strange dreams of his love for Christine Palmer, Wanda is haunted by memories of her sons. The post-credits scene in WandaVision established that both Billy and Tommy did exist in the Multiverse, and perhaps the dreams are just the heroes’ way of connecting to an alternate reality.
