A new horror FPS called Fossilfuel 2 has strong Dino Crisis vibes, and it has already gained positive reviews soon after its release. Dino Crisis is among the most beloved of Capcom’s forgotten franchises, and its fans will be glad to know that this new indie game could be considered its spiritual successor.

The story campaign has multiple endings depending on player choices, and it takes around 12 hours to beat, according to the devs. Fossilfuel 2 also comes with a Horde Mode for people who are just into combat and a Sandbox Mode for players who want to use their creativity.
Despite being a somewhat unknown game from a small studio, Fossilfuel 2 currently has Positive reviews on Steam, with 93% of 44 people enjoying it. In some of the reviews, gamers describe Fossilfuel 2 as “playing like an FPS Dino Crisis,” and define it as one of the best dinosaur games out there due to its exciting gameplay and having “a lot of heart.”
While Capcom has yet to release a new Dino Crisis, at least players can find indie games inspired by the franchise.
