Neve Campbell appears in a brand new ad for the American Red Cross in a scene inspired by Scream. The classic meta slasher film came out in 1996, directed by horror master Wes Craven from a script by then-newcomer Kevin Williamson, who went on to create iconic television series like Dawson's Creek and The Vampire Diaries. The film followed a group of horror movie-savvy teenagers being hunted down by a masked figure known only as Ghostface. The chilling whodunit was such a hit that Scream 2 came out less than a year later, eventually spawning a franchise that includes five movies and three seasons of Scream: The TV Series on MTV.
Neve Campbell has appeared in every extant Scream movie as Sidney Prescott. Sidney is a consummate survivor and typically the main target of the Ghostface slayings, with her presence being central to the killer's motive, either as revenge for something her mother did or — in the later films — to use her status as a survivor to draw attention to their own attention-seeking kills. She even appeared in the latest film, Scream 2022, though she will not be coming back for the upcoming Scream 6 due to receiving an unsatisfactory offer.

This month, American Red Cross ran a campaign titled «A Bloody Nightmare» featuring Campbell as a spokesperson. The premise involves various people making poor decisions in horror movie situations that will eventually lead to them getting killed, including going up to a makeout point on Friday the 13th.
