With Animal Crossing: New Horizons being a smash hit all over the world, there's plenty of collectibles and merchandise based off the franchise available for sale. Amiibo, accessories, clothing, and even Animal Crossing Build-a-Bear characters are available.
However, with nearly 400 Animal Crossing villagers for players to see take up residences in their town, there's many favorites out there that haven't received much in the way of merchandise. Such was the case with one young player's favorite character, Sprocket, but his mom had the situation under control.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Shows Off Custom Joy-Cons
Reddit user and parent Ana_Ng_N_I took to the Animal Crossing subreddit to share their story and images of their creation. According to Ana_Ng_N_I, their child was quite sad because they couldn't find any kind of Animal Crossing plush toy based off the character's design. Thankfully, their mom was able to fix that by making a custom plush Sprocket from scratch. The results are very impressive, and the community is charmed by it.
The villager's design is spot-on here. Sprocket, which looks like a robotic ostrich, has been brought to life with attention to detail, down to the metal seams on the face and neck. The 04 on the back of Sprocket's head is included, and the mom even made a removable orange jacket for the plush, just like the character has in the game. Impressively, Ana_Ng_N_I created the plush without any kind of pattern, coming up with the design from scratch. Thankfully, the effort paid off and the creation is a big success, and the young fan is extremely pleased with the plush.
Fellow Animal Crossing fans in the comments were extremely positive, expressing praise for Ana_Ng_N_I and their design.
