The Craftstar Neve Campbell recalls the 15-hour makeup job she went through for the 1996 film. Campbell played Bonnie Harper in The Craft, a friend of Nancy Downs (Fairuza Balk) and Rochelle Zimmerman (Rachel True). Bonnie, Rochelle, and Nancy are aspiring witches, but Bonnie is the one to recruit Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney) to join their coven. Bonnie starts off as a timid outcast before she and her friends start performing witchcraft.
Part of the reason for Bonnie's insecurities is due to the severe scarring she has on her back and shoulders. Despite her doctor performing experimental procedures on her, Bonnie ends up healing herself using a spell. While this changes her physical appearance, it turns her conceited, and eventually, she ends up trying to kill Sarah. Near the end of the movie, Sarah makes Bonnie believe her scarring has come back and expanded to half of her face by using a spell on her and Rochelle. While the makeup was impressive in the scene, the most unsettling scene featuring Bonnie came earlier in the film when the doctors penetrated her skin dozens of times with a sharp needle.
