In August 2022, Netflix is adding the live-action adaptation of a popular comic book series, the final season of a horror fantasy TV series, a movie about vampires, season 3 of a successful coming-of-age comedy-drama TV series, and a bunch of documentaries on a variety of subjects. After dealing with controversy not long ago due to a massive loss of subscribers, the content of some of its comedy specials, and changes to its subscription plans, Netflix is shaking it all off and continues adding new licensed and original content every month – and August will see some highly-anticipated movies and TV series.
July saw the arrival of the final episodes of Stranger Things season 4, the comedy miniseries Boo, Bitch, the drama movies Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between and Persuasion, the animated movie The Sea Beast, the action movie The Gray Man, the TV series Resident Evil, and the documentaries Girl in the Picture and D.B. Cooper: Where Are You?!. Adding more to Netflix's list of licensed content, August will see the addition of many popular and beloved titles, most notably Constantine, Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, the comedies Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Space Jam (1996), Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and Sam Mendes’ Skyfall.
