August is almost here, which means a whole new slate of shows and movies to watch on Netflix. Some of the content is available starting on August 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
First up, an obvious highlight for this month is Netflix's The Sandman, which will finally be arriving on the streaming service on August 5. This highly anticipated live-action adaptation of The Sandman--a cult classic run of Vertigo comics by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg--was famously (or infamously, depending on how patient you've been) put off for decades until Gaiman could adapt the comic exactly how he wanted. Check out the trailer below, to see for yourself.
On Netflix 18, Bandai Namco's long-running Tekken video game series is coming to Netflix for the first time with its new series Tekken: Bloodline. The series follows the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by Mishima Zaibatsu. The conflict between the Mishima family serves as the main focus of the franchise's plot, while players explore other characters' motives. You can check out a recently released trailer over here.
