Naoki Yoshida Discusses The Future of Final Fantasy XIV Alongside New Year's Greetings
In just a few short days, Final Fantasy fans will be able to take part in the Fan Festival 2024 in Tokyo, and the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV had a few season’s greetings to send the player’s way.
Naoki Yoshida shared a few details of the future of Final Fantasy XIV, including a cryptic note that was “sent to their office.” This note appears to be written to bring hype to the latest expansion coming to the game, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail , as it states “I awake at the break of dawn.”
Yoshida discusses how the team has now gone into overdrive in order to get the expansion player ready, where he states,
“We've been accompanied on this epic journey by Warriors of Light from across the globe, and we intend to maintain that partnership by placing an even greater value on communication as we expand the world of FFXIV. This next step is a big one, full of brand new challenges, and I am personally excited to see everyone experience what we have in store this coming year!”
The team's current tasks as Yoshida put it are to overhaul over ten years worth of graphical development, as well as improve their processes with a focus on long-term services.
