Yesterday, we reported a couple of exclusive transmogs for low-level characters in the Radiant Echoes event. Since publishing that post, we've learned that the Recruit's Sturdy back pieces that drop from the event also share models with previously removed transmogs!
Most of the Recruit's Sturdy back pieces share models with the Argent Conscript cloak pieces. These cloaks were part of the sets purchasable from the Shadowlands Pre-Patch event, Death's Rising. They were purchasable with a currency that became unobtainable with the launch of the Shadowlands expansion, and these cloaks have since become lost in the nether. They're now temporarily returned for the The War Within pre-patch event!
There are 2 Alliance and 3 Horde cloak appearances that are temporarily obtainable once more with the Radiant Echoes event.
NOTE: We've tested and concluded that only characters
BELOW LEVEL 70 can obtain Recruit gear. Level 70s will obtain the Dalaran Defender pieces instead. You can lock experience and prevent a farming character from hitting lv70 by talking with either Behsten in Stormwind, or Slahtz in Orgrimmar.
Obtaining one version of the Recruit's Sturdy pieces of gear will teach you the transmog model for
both factions, eliminating the need to grind them twice.
In addition to this, unlike with the lv70 Dalaran Defender gear (in which you can loot pieces not equippable by your class and send them to alts via the Warband bank), the Recruit gear from Radiant Echoes
is bound on pickup.
