Enotria: The Last Song won’t be coming to Xbox at the same time as PS5 and PC, developer Jyamma Games has announced, as they struggle to get access to the game’s Microsoft Store page. The game will still launch as planned on 19th September for PS5 and PC, but the Xbox Series version is indefinitely delayed.
“We understand how disappointing this news is to the Xbox community,” the team writes. “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the hard work of our dedicated team, we’ve encountered challenges that have delayed our release on the Xbox platform. We want to emphasize that this is not a decision we’ve made lightly.
“We apologize for any disappointment this may cause and sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience. As a self-published indie studio, your support means everything to us, and we are dedicated to bringing Enotria to as many players as possible.”
In a follow up statement to Insider Gaming, Jyamma Games CEO Giacomo Greco revealed that it’s not a technical issue with the game on console, but rather not being able to access the game’s Microsoft Store page. The studio has been going back and forth with Xbox support staff, but is still unable to access the store backend and submit the game for release.
It’s truly a bizarre situation, and one that I’m sure Microsoft will work to resolve now that it’s getting headlines and public attention.
Enotria is the latest game to set foot into the arena of the Soulslike, carving out an intriguing setting with inspiration from Italian mythology and scenery as you venture forth and battle the Authors, trying to put an end to their eternal play, Canovaccio.
