The game will give a more compact, easier approach for players to enjoy the, while its digital nature gives a heavy focus on special art and collecting the coolest cards.
is scheduled for full release on October 30, 2024, for mobile devices. It will be free to download, with a heavy focus on in-game purchases for buying the virtual booster packs in order to build up a collection. This app takes advantage of technology for their artwork by making many of the images rise up, coming off the static card with quick animations or effects, and some cards will even open up into an immersive scene. These awe-inspiring designs could prove to be many collectors' dream.
Though some of these virtual cards are immersive with full scenes carrying on when clicked, many appear most like a traditional card in the sets, including full art card Secret Rares such as this Meowth. In this image, Meowth is shown watching over a city street at night, from his spot perched on a streetlamp. The glow of the lighting on this night scene makes this card come alive.
Cards in will not be visibly numbered, but have internal numbering within the app to organize the virtual binders and see what cards are missing from a collection.
Interestingly, many of the standard cards in the set, which do not feature the full card illustrations, use the same artwork and images from past sets. All Secret Rare styles that have been shown thus far do have brand-new art and styles to show off, however.
