The latest figure in Sideshow’s line of deluxe Marvel Comics statues is inspired by the fan-favorite legacy character and makes a perfect companion for the recently revealed Ghost Spider figure as well.
Plenty of younger Marvel characters have taken on a mantle after its been passed on, or have become a known superhero in an unknown quarter of the multiverse, but few have had the lasting impact that Miles Morales has. Created in 2011 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, the Afrolatino teenager first appeared as part of the Ultimate Marvel, replacing Peter Parker after his demise. Since the epic Secret Wars storyline, Miles' world has merged with Marvel-616, where he joins the superhero ranks of Marvel's other young vigilantes such as Kamala Khan.

But Miles has appeared in far more than comics, as his popularity and reach have grown immensely in the decade since his creation. Not only has he been incorporated into animated series such as Ultimate Spider-Man and the recent preschooler series Spidey And His Amazing Friends, he also has his own PlayStation videogame. Perhaps most impressively, his film debut took place in Sony'sSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
