A live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man is almost sure to happen in the near future, and there are three easy ways for Sony and/or the MCU to do it. Created in 2011 as part of the Marvel Ultimate universe, Miles Morales adopted the mantle of Spider-Man following Peter Parker’s death. He went on to become a key character in the remaining years of Earth-1610, was brought into Marvel’s main comics continuity, and has now been the star of solo comic book titles, animated movies, and video games.
While Miles had already made his mark in the Marvel universe with the comics, the Academy Award-winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has been a major contributor to his popularity – especially among the general audience. That boom was followed by Insomniac’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game and the upcoming animated Into the Spider-Verse sequels Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse.

With so many successful adaptations involving Miles Morales, a live-action version of the character appearing in a movie is pretty much a given. While Miles originally became Spider-Man after Peter Parker's death, the comics and other adaptations have shown that Peter does not necessarily have to be gone in order for another Spider-Man to have his own story. Between Tom Holland’s MCU Spider-Man films, Sony’s Venom universe, or even a live-action version of Into The Spider-Verse, options abound as to where and how audiences could see Miles Morales in the future.
