Spider-Man: Miles Morales has proven to have some incredible legs when it comes to sales, performing well commercially long after it made its debut. As such, gamers are continuing to play through Spider-Man: Miles Morales and share footage of their adventures, with one fan pointing out a neat vehicle chase detail.
Just like the first Marvel’s Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales features chase sequences where players need to rush after criminals in cars and trucks. These segments see players needing to swing through the city fast enough to land on the car, and once they do, they must complete some QTEs to dodge bullets and take down the thugs in the moving vehicle. Normally, players will complete these QTEs without much thought, though Reddit user senjulegos made a fun discovery.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fans Want Miles Morales’ Across The Spider-Verse Suit In The Game
In the player's clip, they can be seen ignoring the Spider-Man: Miles Morales QTE, refusing to press square once the prompt pops up on-screen. This would normally get the player shot if they were up against an enemy with a gun, though they had already dealt with everyone else inside the car. The driver had no weapon to fire at the player, so they dealt with Miles in another way. With the player refusing to finish off the driver, the NPC pulls over and gets out of their car, pulling out a gun and aiming at Miles.
While this unsurprisingly results in the enemy getting beaten up, it is neat that Insomniac included this small touch. Had this not been in the game, players could have ridden around on the vehicle forever, goofing off and letting the crime remain incomplete. By adding this mechanic in, Insomniac Games ensured that players had to complete the fight.
