Publisher Annapurna Interactive is known for distributing artsy indie games to the masses, giving fans a glimpse at some of its future titles at a recent showcase event. During the Annapurna Interactive showcase, the publisher revealed a brand-new dinosaur survival-horror game that's in active development, The Lost Wild.
The Lost Wild was originally announced nearly a year ago by developer Great Ape Games, but now it's been confirmed that Annapurna Interactive is handling publishing duties. A new cinematic trailer dropped for The Lost Wild that gives fans an idea of what to expect from the gameplay. Assuming the cinematic is reflective of The Lost Wild's gameplay, it seems as though players will be exploring a lush jungle environment crawling with dangerous dinosaurs. The game uses a first-person perspective, with the player character referring to a compass as they make their way through the jungle.

The player character lights a flare as the dinosaurs close in on them, but it's unclear what the point of this will be as the footage then cuts off. It's possible that the flares will be used to distract the dinosaurs by throwing them elsewhere, but it's also possible they serve some other purpose that has yet to be revealed.
Those interested in The Lost Wild should note that, as of right now, it's only confirmed for a PC release on Steam, and it's not expected to drop
