Microsoft Teams is getting better as it ages! In the latest update, Microsoft has added a couple of new features to make it more appealing for team meetings on video and audio. The newest and most unique one is the new Music mode, which is surely going to help with presentations where a lot of multimedia files and audio/video playback is involved. There are a few other features to make life during a video call easier.
Music mode is the most surprising yet helpful feature for those who attend conferences, or hold classes over Teams. Technically known as “High fidelity audio mode”, it allows members to experience better audio quality. “High-fidelity music mode enables Microsoft Teams users to experience richer sound experiences when sharing non-speech content such as live music, songs through other applications, or medical signals during a virtual appointment with a physician. High-fidelity music mode enables significantly improved audio quality in Teams calls and meetings,” says Microsoft.
Note that the new feature can be activated in both for audio captured via mics as well as via applications.
Here are some of the other features to enhance the Team experience.
Press to Unmute: As the name suggests, you can simply press a shortcut key combo to quickly unmute yourself and talk. As soon as your lift off the keys, you go back to being muted. For Windows PCs, you can do it by pressing Ctrl + Space keys, whereas for macOS, you can do so by pressing Option + Space keys.
Mirror My Video: If you face the issue of seeing your video feed mirrored, which eventually flips the text, there’s a solution. Simply go to your Device Settings and toggle off “Mirror my video”. This should help you in keeping your video feed appear the way it
