New Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 early comparison videos were shared online, sadly highlighting how the Nintendo Switch port is going to be rather disappointing, even without taking performance into account.
The new comparison videos, which were put together by Cycu1, highlight how both the first and third entry in the series don't look that much better compared to the versions included in the HD Collection by Bluepoint Games. MGS3, in particular, looks very disappointing, with slightly worse anti-aliasing to boot. As the game will also run at 30 FPS, compared to the 60 FPS of the HD Collection version, it's already clear how only those interested in portability should be looking into the Nintendo Switch release.
As only footage of the Nintendo Switch version of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 was released this week, it is unclear how the other versions of the game will look and perform. Thankfully, we won't have to wait much longer to learn more about the collection's other versions, as it will release on October 24th on all formats, including PlayStation 4. A Vol.2 has yet to be announced, but it was hinted back in June that it is indeed coming, and it will include titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Peace Walker.
