At the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, Konami shared the first look at gameplay for its upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. And it looks breathtaking.
While brief, the gameplay trailer showed off the signature stealth gameplay in action. From Snake crossing through the water while close to a crocodile to him just about to take out an enemy with a pistol equipped with a Silencer attachment.
More interestingly, the end of the trailer confirmed that the game will be running on Epic's Unreal Engine 5, confirming earlier reports that the highly anticipated remake would run on Unreal Engine. Brief gameplay aside, the teaser also gave us a look at Metal Gear Solid 3 running on Unreal Engine 5, with various cuts to several in-game environments and close-ups of animals, such as a snake slithering in the grass or a frog swimming in the water.
A remake for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was announced in late May during the Sony State of Play showcase officially under the name of Metal Gear OSlid Delta: Snake Eater.
