If you've ever wondered how exactly New York City gets cleaned up and repaired after one of the Marvel Universe's disaster-level supervillain events, look no further, as the cult-classic Damage Control is being brought back for a 5-issue limited series. Written by Adam Goldberg, the creator of popular TV show The Goldbergs, Damage Control will be a «workplace comedy,» with a bunch of awesome cameos by some of Marvel's best characters.
The original Damage Control first debuted in 1988's Marvel Age Annual #4, created by Dwayne McDuffie and Ernie Colón, and McDuffie had always planned on the Damage Control team being seen through a sitcom lens. Appearing in several limited-series in the early '90s, Damage Control would go on to make appearances over the next few decades after major Marvel Universe calamities such as World War Hulk, before going on to appear as the «US Department of Damage Control» in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The upcoming Damage Control #1 (of 5) comes from the creative minds of Adam Goldberg — the creator and writer of the beloved sitcom The Goldbergs - and Hans Rodionoff (Man-Thing, Mnemovore) who has previously partnered with Goldberg on the comic Possessive, as well as artist Will Robson (Spider-Ham, Future Foundation). Additionally there will be a bonus second Damage Control story written by Charlotte Fullerton that shows the behind-the-scenes clean-up of one of Marvel's most famous world-shifting disasters, the 1991 event Infinity Gauntlet.
