The X-Men have featured hundreds of different mutants on their roster during their more than 60 storied years in the pages of Marvel Comics, but a surprise character who has emerged as a fan favorite in recent years is Armor. In an adorable piece of fan art from Reddit user SpunchTheCrunch, the hero gets a look that shows her incredible defensive powers, as she stands inside of her barrier armor, with a menacing look on her face. Armor is clearly ready to fight, as she's suited up and ready to join her fellow mutants in battle.
Hisako Ichiki, better known by her codename, Armor, first debuted in the pages of Astonishing X-Men #4 by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday. Armor has the ability to generate a transparent red exoskeleton armor, which gives her incredible strength, endurance, durability, and more powers. Armor's armor looks like a see-through mech, as the mutant can be seen controlling the exoskeleton from the inside. The Japanese mutant first joined the Paladins Squad led by Kitty Pryde, where she was featured on a team alongside Blindfold and Wing. Recently, Armor has been seen in the New Mutants by Marvel Comics and was one of the finalists to join the main X-Men team in a fan vote on two separate occasions, although she just missed the cut on both occasions.
