Recent DC fan art is imagining the popular Teen Titans' character, Starfire, as a part of the SnyderVerse. The admiration for director Zack Snyder's alternate version of the DC Extended Universe has increased following 2021's release of his original cut of Justice League. Premiering on HBO Max, the «Snyder Cut» received praise for its dark tonal shift and action, and has been better received by fans of the comics than its 2017 theatrical counterpart. After positive reactions to the film poured in, many became even more adamant about restoring the SnyderVerse and have expressed interest in seeing the director tackle other DC properties.
The Teen Titans first appeared in DC Comics in 1964 and followed a team of young superheroes made up of Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad. The series took off following a revival in the 1980s, under Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, which saw the introduction of Starfire, or Koriand'r, who has the ability to absorb ultraviolet radiation and use it to fly and release powerful blasts of energy. The character became more popular after her inclusion in Cartoon Network's animated Teen Titans show, airing from 2003 to 2006. She has since appeared in the 2013 spin-off series, Teen Titans Go!, as well as the feature film Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, and is currently portrayed by Anna Diop in HBO Max's live-action depiction, Titans.
