Magmatusk Cheese in Mythic+ Neltharus - Magmatusk Never Gains Stacks
Magmatusk is one of the hardest remaining bosses in Mythic+ Season 2 and a new cheese has been discovered which makes the encounter significantly easier.
Magmatusk Cheese — Mythic+ NeltharusAfter all the recent nerfs to bosses in Mythic+, Magmatusk remains one of the hardest bosses on Tyrannical weeks. As Magmatusk gains more Magma Tentacle from Volatile Mutation, then duration of Magma Eruption increases until the boss is capped at 5 stacks. At 5 stacks, the damage of Magma Eruption lasts for a long 20 seconds dealing a very high amount of damage over the duration. Players have found that you can cap the number of stacks of Magma Tentacle by using a vial from an achievement Liquid Hot Magma. When you enter Magmatusk's room, head to the right and you should see a «Draconic Tincture» on the table.
One player should pick up the Draconic Tincture which will give them an Extra Action Button. During the first Lava Spray, the player should throw the Draconic Tincture under Magmatusk.If done correctly, you will see that Magmatusk has gained 5 tentacles on his back, but remains at only 2 stacks.If done correctly, Magmatusk will be capped at 2 stacks of Magma Tentacle, making the duration of the DoT 8 seconds and greatly reducing the healing requirement of the encounter. As stated before, this is one of the hardest Mythic+ bosses to deal with on high Tyrannical weeks and it almost feels like this cheese is almost needed to take it down on super high keystones. As the boss takes longer and longer, Magmatusk will get more tentacles making overlaps between Lava Spray and Magma Eruption more deadly, and honestly just the overall Magma Eruption damage makes this encounter brutally hard.
